The Remodel Review ("we", "us", "our") is a website operated by ne-tra. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit theremodelreview.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

The Remodel Review is an independent publisher. We are not a solar installer, contractor, lender, or utility, and we do not provide quotes. When you click through to request quotes, you leave our Site and go to a third-party partner website.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

Our Site asks one question: whether you own your home. We use your answer only to send you to the right next page. We do not ask for your name, address, phone number, or email on this Site.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our advertising partners collect some information automatically through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies:

Device and browser information, such as browser type, operating system, and screen size
IP address and approximate location derived from it (city or state level)
Pages viewed, buttons clicked, the time of your visit, and the page or ad that referred you
Advertising and click identifiers, such as the Meta click ID (fbclid) and campaign tracking parameters

3. Cookies, pixels, and the Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram). The Meta Pixel places or reads cookies in your browser and sends Meta information about your visit and the actions you take on our Site (for example, that you clicked to compare quotes). Meta may combine this with other information it has about you, and we use it to measure how our ads perform and to show relevant ads to you and to people with similar interests.

Meta processes this information under its own Data Policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy.

You can control how Meta uses this information in your Facebook Ad Preferences. You can also opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info, or block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not stop the Site from working.

4. How we use information

To operate the Site and send you to the partner page you choose
To measure and improve our advertising campaigns
To show you relevant advertising on Meta platforms
To detect fraud, bots, and invalid traffic
To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests

5. How we share information

Advertising platforms. Meta receives information through the Meta Pixel as described above.
Offer partners and affiliate networks. When you click through, we pass campaign tracking parameters (such as click IDs and sub-IDs) in the link so our partners can credit the referral. We do not pass your name or contact details because we do not collect them.
Service providers. Hosting and technical providers that help us run the Site.
Legal reasons. When required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, some state laws treat sharing data with advertising platforms for targeted advertising as a "sale" or "sharing." See Section 7 for how to opt out.

6. Partner websites

When you click "Yes, I own my home," you go to a third-party website operated by our partner. Anything you enter there, including your name, address, phone number, and email, is collected by that partner and governed by its own privacy policy and terms, not this one. Please read them before submitting your information.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:

Know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it
Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information
Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, or its use for targeted advertising
Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. To opt out, email contacto@ne-tra.com with the subject "Opt-out request." We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by supported browsers.

To make any other request, email contacto@ne-tra.com. We will respond within the time the law requires, usually 45 days. Because we collect very little information that identifies you directly, we may need details such as the approximate date of your visit to find it. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

8. Data retention

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, usually no longer than 24 months, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Data held by Meta and our partners is kept under their own policies.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the Site, including encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

10. Children

The Site is intended for adults who own homes. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
